Lærke Winther (born 23. september 1975) is a Danish actress, graduated from The Arts Educational School, London in 1999.
Lærke Winther is well known for her comedy talent, which she first showed in the sketchshow Normalerweize, written and performed by Winther herself and Anna Neye. Lærke Winther went on to do numerous comedy parts in films such as Mom Squad, the blockbusters Hunting Season I and II, and tv-series such as Bankerot and Namastay.
Lærke Winther is a versatile actress, having a large number of strong performances in drama on her cv too. She was nominated best leading actress for her part as a mother with birth depression in The Blessing and made big impression as the handicapped Hanne in the dark Thriller Murk. In Three Things, Winther plays the tough police lawyer opposite Nikolaj Coster Waldau.
Lærke Winther has been in the lead cast for three series of the of the popular crime tv-series Dicte and she returned to London to film Rellik in 2017 to BBC/HBO.
On stage, Winthers achievements count All men are Mortal on The Royal Theatre and the international tour of the electronica opera Tomorrow in a year with Hotel Pro Forma.
Lærke Winther has furthermore done the improvised comedy radio shows Winthertid and Bladet for munden with Nanna Winther on Radio 24Syv.
Lærke Winthers first novel “Unsent Letters” was published in 2020 by Gyldendal.
